The clinical case of a post-PCRE duodenal perforation (pancreatic retrograde endoscopic cholangiography) is presented in a 70-year-old female patient who attends the Ramiro Priale Priale EsSalud Huancayo National Hospital (HNRPP) in September 2019 after a duodenal polypectomy. The incidence of complications of the technique varies from 5.4% to 23.0% and the general mortality from 0.1% to 1%. However, mortality can be increased in cases where there is a delay in the diagnosis and treatment of duodenal perforation reached 8-23%, as a consequence of sepsis and secondary multiorgan failure. Post PCRE duodenal perforation is a rare and life-threatening complication, therefore, classification and treatment guidelines are based on small case series and there are no prospective studies with high statistical power.
