OBJECTIVE: Apply the SPRECLAD score (Presurgical Score for Difficult Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy) to predict difficult laparoscopic cholecystectomy, as well as establish the prediction of some of its variables.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: The study was conducted in the emergency department of the Ramiro Priale Priale National Hospital, in which a total of 50 cases were obtained, with a mean age of 52 years ± 16 years, a prevalence of the female gender in 62 %, the SPRECLAD Score was used with the following variables: age, sex, hospitalization history, BMI, scar on the abdomen, palpable gallbladder, gallbladder wall thickness, pericolecistic fluid and nailed calculus. For data processing Excel and SPSS 25.0 were used.
RESULTS: The SPRECLAD score obtained an area under the COR curve of 0.793, this being a good predictor for difficult cholecystectomy, age obtained an area under the COR curve of 0.616, the BMI obtained an area under the COR curve of 0.575, the Vesicular wall thickness obtained an area of the COR curve of 0.688 and finally the operating time obtained an area under the COR curve of 0.878.
CONCLUSIONS: It was concluded that the SPRECLAD score has an adequate probability of predicting a difficult laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
