Abstract

OBJECTIVE:  To establish the accuracy of preoperative liver CT in patients operated on for liver EQ in the Hospital Nacional Ramiro Priale Priale EsSalud Huancayo in the period 2015-2017.

MATERIAL AND METHODS: Applied research, descriptive and transversal and analytical descriptive study. The population was of all the patients diagnosed with liver EQ operated in the General Surgery Services of the Hospital Nacional Ramiro Priale Priale EsSalud Huancayo with inclusion and exclusion criteria. during the period from January 2015 to December 2017. An ad hoc instrument was used for the present investigation.

RESULTS: The prevalence of liver EQ was 88.8%. 2. The sensitivity of the preoperative liver CT was 96.4%, the specificity was 14.2%, the PPV was 89.9%, the NPV was 33.3% and the Kappa Index was 0.743

CONCLUSIONS: The accuracy of the preoperative liver CT in the operated patients was of 87.3%.
